Abraham Delivered All the Practices of Submission. It was with Abraham that God established the religion of Submission, and He delivered all the rites of the religion. [2:127] As Abraham raised the foundations of the shrine, together with Ismail (they prayed): "Our Lord, accept this from us.

When Abraham implored God in 14:40, he did not ask for wealth or health; the gift he implored for was: "Please God, make me one who observes the contact prayers (Salat)."

(7:156) My mercy encompasses all things, but I will specify it for the righteous who give Zakat.

(2:183)  O you who believe, fasting is decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you, that you may attain salvation.

[2:125] We have rendered the shrine (the Ka`aba) a focal point for the people, and a safe sanctuary. You may use Abraham's shrine as a prayer house. We commissioned Abraham and Ismail: "You shall purify My house for those who visit, those who live there, and those who bow and prostrate."
